I don't follow the NFL except for the Super Bowl. I like to join in the party. Translation drink lots of beer. But I like the story there of Vince Papale. Feel good thing. I know the film took dramatic license to create an exaggeration of what happened. Some truth there. I just liked the whole idea of the Vince Papale sitting in the stands then playing for his team even if it is somewhat over dramatized. Anyhoo that's my excuse.

I wouldn't say Wahlberg is a great actor. He is what he is. In the roles he has he does very well. He has a screen presence. He can be likeable as in 'Invincible' or 'Boogie Nights'. Can play an unlikeable guy like in 'Fear' or 'Basketball Diaries'. I can honestly say without shame that if Mark Wahlberg is in a movie I will check it out.

Yeah, he's ok. He comes off like a massive douche most of the time, but he's decent enough in the right role. He really has no range though, and only picks roles that stroke his ego and make him seem tough and cool.
The irony here is that he's from Boston and will obviously root hard against the Eagles.
