Bolts refusing to die just yet, not getting my hopes up though.
I think we can safely give McDavid the Ross, currently on 96 points, 8 clear of Crosby and Kane. Probably got the Hart too. Can he hit 100?
Richard looks to belong to Crosby, 4 goals ahead of Kucherov, Marchand and Matthews.

Lightning are still alive, but if Toronto wins even 1 of their last 2... both against teams that have resting their remaining starters on their mind with no real reason to compete...
Regardless, Kucherov and Hedman are monsters.

Leafs won't blow this against two locked in teams resting players, but the Isles could still hold the tiebreaker over Tampa with two wins in reg if it came to that.

Can see NYI beating the Devils to make it interesting but it'd be just like them to mess it up versus Ottawa who still have home ice to play for.
This is all probably moot anyway as the Leafs end up beating Pittsburgh tonight. Final night will probably be devoid of excitement except for the potential of McDavid hitting 100. Worst final day moment ever: Jamie Benn stealing the Art Ross from John Tavares.

I find that more exciting than jostling for playoff positions/matchups. Albeit I have no real horse in any playoff races. Best final day moment ever: Forsberg securing the Art Ross over Naslund!

Leafs win 5-3 and officially make the playoffs, eliminating Tampa and the Isles. Not even mad; Bolts were ravaged by injuries and still fought to the end, from last place in February to just missing out on the last wild card spot. They'll be back next season with a (hopefully healthy Stamkos, plus Kucherov, Hedman and Drouin.
Matthews scored an empty netter for his 40th of the season. Only the second player post lockout (with Ovechkin, 52 in 06) to score 40 in his rookie season. (Crosby hit 39, also in 06.)

Toronto can lock up Atlantic-3 with a point tomorrow. Boston would be a pretty scary first round opponent for the Caps if that happens.

How's your confidence heading into the Jackets series? Do the Pens have anyone coming back from injury in time?

Seem like Malkin is probably going to be ready. That's the big one, obviously. Hagelin is getting closer. Not sure about Kunitz. Don't really care about Maatta at this point.
I don't know. Columbus didn't look good down the stretch. I expect a tough series that goes at least 6. Not super confident, but I like the Pens' chances provided Malkin plays.

I'm still leaning towards the Pens, because they have the experience, and the Jackets, well, don't aside from Torts. Could go down to the wire though.

Oilers clinch home ice for at least the first round. McDavid on 98 points with one more game left, versus Vancouver again tomorrow night.
Flames will play the Pacific winner, Ducks or Oilers.

No battle of Ontario in the first round - shame. Leafs are gonna get stomped by Washington.

Not the boldest prediction by any means, but I'm still sad I can't shamelessly bump my Russell Westbrook MVP prediction from the other board.
F'n Leafs, man. I blame Tom Sestito.

Connor McDavid wins the Art Ross with 100 points as a sophomore. Crosby Rocket with 44.
Other awards? My picks -
Hart: McDavid Norris: Hedman (not that he will, team didn't make the playoffs) Vezina: Bobrovsky Calder: Matthews
