I quite enjoy Star Trek III and IV. The three films make for a nice contained story.

I quite enjoy Star Trek III and IV. The three films make for a nice contained story. The one with the Borg and the TNG crew IS the BEST one after TWoK.

The Voyage Home First Contact for the TNG crew Trek '09 for the Chris Pine crew The Search For Spock is a good connecting film between II and IV.

Me and my grandchildren watched Star Trek 2009, and let me just say that we had a great time watching it at a cinema, I know they might have fooled me since they might have been underaged.
I will not judge this movie the normal way, since it was such a wonderful day.

I prefer the reboots which is probably an unacceptable answer.
Star Trek III was good storywise, but a bit dull.

I like the reboot trilogy the most but First Contact and The Voyage Home are both very good.

II, III, and IV - all greats!
I actually like the Motion Picture as well, especially the first part of the film when you see the Enterprise in wide format glory!

I think that the Most Hated "STAR TREK" Movie is "THE FINAL FRONTIER".
That being said though, I think that "THE FINAL FRONTIER" has got 1 of the Top 5 Best "STAR TREK" Movie Soundtracks!

None of the films capture everything that was Star Trek-only bits and pieces in each film.
1 had the sci-fi
ST 2 had the adversary conflict.
3 had the friend loyalty, crew focus,
4 had the sci-fi and social commentary and humor
5 had the religious commentary
6 had the political intrigue--I think its better made than Khan
7 -sucks in a lot of ways-bad send off for Kirk
8 --the best of the NG BUT they had to radically change character personalities-especially Picard
I dont care about the rest-the other NG movies sucked and you can't recast the original cast so fuck em
