.......to allow it to be shown on Google (Street) Maps (I'm assuming, given the 'view' on the page attached to this link). Does anybody know how one is able to go about excluding their home (or anything else) from being shown on Google Maps? Although I understand this house has been 'plagued' by NUMEROUS tourists over the years, I find it interesting that they are somehow able to get the view of the home excluded from public view, at least via Google. Wouldn't you think that would only ADD to people's curiosity to see it, by obscuring the view of it in this way..........and that they might actually be BETTER served by allowing people to see it online, rather than (hopefully) having them visit it in person? They shouldn't be allowed to do that.

If there's that many tourists visiting the place, I'd try to make some money off that.

Apparently it's pretty easy to get Google to blur your home on Streetview. I think that defeats the purpose of it.

Just noticed something else very odd about the view of the 'Home Alone house' (671 Lincoln Ave.) on this Google (Street) Maps view.......the house immediately across the street, and one door down (at approximately, 664 (?) Lincoln Ave.), is also 'blurred out' (to anyone who doesn't know you can do it (I only learned this a few months ago) most Google street view map images can be rotated by clicking (while holding the button down) on the image, and 'spinning' it right or left). Does anybody know if that house was also featured in the movie? That's the only logical reason I can imagine that they (again, I'm assuming) too obscured the view on Google..... SAVE FERRIS

SAVE FERRISI must be on your ignore list. Anyone can obscure their house.
