Upon my initial viewing, I didn't like it, which was understandable since it's a direct sequel to Casino Royale which I loved. In subsequent viewings, I really like Daniel Craig's gritty, vengeful performance, David Arnold's score, and the poignant ending. The editing is hard on the eyes, but it works in its favor of the Tosca shootout scene. The script had some good ideas about the water supply in third-world countries and appreciated Bond's character arc at learning to forgive Vesper, but altogether it lacks incoherence and Dominic Green's plot doesn't add up. How will Green make money from the impoverished Bolivians if he charges water at higher rates?
