Aerosmith -- in my top 20
ABBA | Herb Alpert -- tied more or less
America -- very close to the two above, though
Aaliyah -- might be higher if she'd been able to produce a larger discography
The Animals -- though I'm not familiar with their entire discography, so that could change their ranking. I mostly ignored them for decades, but I gave them another listen in the past 5-7 years and wondered why I'd been ignoring them. I like them a lot. I just haven't gotten around to picking up the rest of their discography yet. I keep meaning to do that and to check out Eric Burdon's solo discography, too. I've long been a huge WAR fan, by the way.
Actually, aside from Aerosmith clearly being on top for me, all of the above I like a lot, and they're all more or less tied.
All of the following I don't know well enough to rank:
Ace of Base -- I know I've heard them in the past, but I don't recall anything, I can't remember what they sound like. There's a good chance I haven't heard anything by them in more than 30 years.
Adele -- checked out a few tunes on youtube. Was indifferent towards her.
a-ha -- only know the couple hits they had in the 80s. Not sure why I never pursued them beyond that, as I like the hits a lot.
Clay Aiken -- just know him from American Idol and that's it. Wasn't that taken with him on American Idol.
Rick Astley -- not sure if I know a tune of his other than "Never Gonna Give You Up". I like that tune. I just haven't bothered to check out anything else of his.
Iggy Azalea -- not sure I've ever heard anything of her's, actually. I know the name though.

The Winner takes it all:
ABBA - Not a HUGE fan, but still I have lots of respect and do enjoy from time to time several of their songs, and while I rarely sit through and listen to an entire album they do remain as one of my first childhood music favorites.
The rest in no special order:
Aaliyah - Only know her through one or two songs from the early 00s, that and her vampire and martial art/action films.
Ace of Base - Some people liked to "compare" this swedish dance-pop act as the new "ABBA", and for a short while they did have several big hits in the first half of the 90s, then also some later on.
Adele - A talented lady but her music does not much for me.
Aerosmith - Have two albums of theirs, a best-of and one from the mid 70s. Mostly know them through the hair-ballad 80s songs which goes on every night on VH1-classics, those and the awful (dislike both film and song) song which is taken or written for Michael Bay and his Armageddon (1998).
a-ha - As a norwegian I should probably support them, but beside their debut album and a few singles here and there, I usually find their work to be not that interesting. Not sure how many farewell concerts these guys had had now, but it is getting beyond the Spinal Tap parody and not in the funny way.
Clay Aiken - Never heard of.
Herb Alpert - Never heard of.
America - Never heard of.
The Animals - I know one song, which I do not think are theirs anyway.
Rick Astley - 80s pop music have always been a soft spot for me, I can never dislike this mans great and catchy music.
Iggy Azalea - Never heard of.

I'd put Ace of Base before Iggy Azalea. I know they're no big prize, but she's awful and fake AF. Always get her confused with Ariana Grande.
