ummm idk, Aquaman has an uphill battle, but then you have something like WW so......... give people a good trailer and that's about it.

I think that's the only thing that can help it now. It cannot rely on Justice League for help. Well, WW had BvS and SS behind it. And those 2 movies didn't hurt as much as Justice League did. Wonder Woman was the standout in BvS. Wonder Woman was also not a part of SS. And. Wonder Woman had a huge push. I don't know if it was WB themselves, but people needed that movie to be seen. Do you really think Aquaman will get that same kind of attention? Justice League didn't. |

Well, BvS had a ball and chain of negativity behind it, JL.... it was more, not negativity, but more behind the scenes drama, followed by a meh campaign behind it. Again, Aquaman needs a strong trailer behind it, like any other film. |

Probably the better film , Ant Man only made just over 500m. I don't see a huge increase for the sequel.

Looking at past releases trend seem to show AM&W will do better than the first
It seems MCU sequels to solo films always improve on the previous films BO:
Thor: $449M, 664M, 852m
Catain America: 370m, 714m, 1153m
Iron Man: 585m, 623m, 1214m
GOTG: 773m, 863m
The only one not to was The Avengers...although can a sequel that made $1.4bn be considered a disappointment?
I'm sure AM appearance in Civil War won't harm it, though not sure if he & Wasp are in Infinity war
Aquaman is a lot more difficult to predict. Generally DCEU films make a healthy amount regardless of critical & audience reaction. Wonder Woman may well have benefitted from her scene stealing in BvS, but Justice League didn't seem to gain much from her appearance in that film...so far with the lowest BO of all DCEU films, and quite possibly the least profitable. Plus I think Aquaman would need a bigger promo push.
Of course a major factor in both cases is how good the film is.
I think both will make over $600m world wide, with AM&W coming out on top. But then again DCEU films are too unpredictable when it comes to BO.

Hard to say without seeing a trailer. I could see Ant-man making a comparable amount to the first one, maybe even a little less as I don't think people were so overly enthusiastic about that one.
Aquaman doesn't seem to have much in the way of competition and is coming out at Xmas. If feel it would have more potential to do better but it could easily disappoint.

Aquaman has a chance for something really big, I think. But Ant-Man is probably the safer option here.
