Eh, it's not absolute garbage, but it's nothing special either.

Hadn't seen it yet. Surprised to hear that after the trailer dropped and all that hype.

Hearing nothing but bad reviews. You mean the Cloverfield Paradox right? It's actually really good in my opinion. I don't think critics really like Netflix movies. Yes there have been some they liked, but mostly they just don't like them. This seems to be one they hate as well.

It's not bad, but derivative and stupid - often hilariously so, in the case of the latter.

Hearing nothing but bad reviews. The acting was good, as were the special effects, but the story was a miss. Lots of things making no sense, and i'm not talking about the science, but the choices made by some of the characters. I thought Prometheus was bad, in that respect, but this is worse.

It does seem that critics are ready to pounce on almost any Netflix movie that is consciously aiming to be a Hollywood blockbuster though.

Hearing nothing but bad reviews. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either. My biggest complaint is a spoiler : The thing everyone most associates "Cloverfield" with is the giant monster. Yet they keep teasing us with "Cloverfield" and then NOT giving us the giant monster! This time they add insult to injury by constantly hinting at the giant monster, only to give us... a five second shot of the thing, right at the end. It's like they're taunting us, going "Ha! Here's a tiny little bit of giant monster! Then no more giant monster for you! Ha! Just give me fricken giant monsters already!

At any rate, all future Cloverfield movies will be theatrical releases apparently.

At any rate, all future Cloverfield movies will be theatrical releases apparently. That's good news. It also means that Paramount had very little hope in The Cloverfield Paradox (aka God Particle) and figured a risky marketing tactic was worth it. For what it's worth, I think they made the right call. I'm pretty sure this movie would've flopped big-time at the box office and the Cloverfield franchise may have died with it.

It's good that the rest are going straight to theatre. Paradox honestly wasn't that bad. It's not the best one,but it's still good.
