....I viewed this on YouTube.
Pretty cool, though I thought it was cheesy how they used the song "Life on Mars?".
Anyone on here have any thoughts on the Falcon Heavy rocket?

Anyone on here have any thoughts on the Falcon Heavy rocket? I thought it was amazing how the two booster rockets came down simultaneously and soft landed on the launch pad. EDIT: Here's a photo of the synchronized landing. It looks like something from an old science fiction movie!

i was standing on the beach as it thundered overhead. ground shaking rumbling. i watched with binoculars as the
boosters dropped off. then the two boosters flashed down to land perfectly. followed by cannon echoes.
hundreds of thousands of people cheered

Those bearded hipster millennial mechanical and software engineers at the flight center cheering like it was a rock concert. Come on, be more reserved like NASA engineers.

It was the best launch ever if only because you have thousands of people screaming in excitement, made it more dramatic--and that double landing was crazy!

It was extremely impressive. Musk is even saying in the future the trip to Mars could be cut to as little as 80 days.
