Structurally and story-wise, the heroes are all spread out into groups similar to Empire, with Captain America, Bucky, Black Panther, Black Widow in Wakanda, then Iron Man, Dr Strange, Wong, Spider-Man, and Banner in New York and both groups seem like they're dealing with their own story and battle against Thanos and his Black Order in a way. Obviously, we got a third group as well with the Guardians and Thor, but I feel like it won't be till near the end of the film when they all get together after maybe someone dies. And I just feel like this film will be a cultural phenomenon like Empire was as well. No series has ever come this far with a cinematic universe, especially this big either and this many characters. Not all the MCU films are perfect, but this film definitely feels deserving and deserves to succeed because we've spent time with all the characters before and we're invested in them. Marvel worked their asses off to get this far and I really hope it succeeds and is as big as it is being advertised right now!

Maybe. But people said this about Ultron before it came out. Obviously they were wrong.
