My favorite is Sabrina Duncan. Super smart and very funny and the charismatic Kate Jackson is near-brilliant in her characterization. I love listening to her read lines.
2. Jill Munroe 3. Kelly Garrett 4. Julie Rogers 5. Tiffany Wells 6. Kris Munroe

I'm a rare fan of Shelley Hack.

I only started watching the TV series Charlie’s Angels (from the beginning of Season 2 onwards, because I missed the first season - but I did eventually catch Season 1 once they started from the beginning again with the repeats. I haven't seen any of Season 5, though...other than a couple of random episodes they showed late at night) last year thanks to repeats on the TV where I am. I liked all three female leads and they were the reason I kept watching, as quite a few of the guest stars were pretty cringe-worthy. It didn’t take me long before I decided my favourite Angel was Kelly Garrett played by Jaclyn Smith ( so gorgeous, and what great hair! All the better to flip with. Plus, like all the Angels, she kicked butt). ![]() ![]() ![](http://i.imgbox.com/av2f1rfy.gif) I'm a rare fan of Shelley Hack. When I eventually got up to Season 4 with Tiffany Welles...I actually didn’t mind her. She was definitely different to the others, and it was a bit of an adjustment having her just appear and Sabrina disappear, but I certainly didn’t think she was that bad. She did seem a little awkward/stiff in the first few episodes with her, but one of the later episodes I saw was with the Angels being trapped on an island and hunted for sport, and there Tiffany made a declaration of friendship (then almost ‘died’) and I actually felt a bit sorry for her. I found this to be an interesting read about the character: charliesangels.org/tiffany/

I'm a rare fan of Shelley Hack. That's a nice thing to hear from time to time. I like Tiffany Wells a lot, too. Shelly Hack was the epitome of a good sport, and she was always gracious and pleasant and after years of cool feelings towards Miss Hack, she finally won me over. My two favorite 4th season episodes highlight the Tiffany Wells character to great appeal, "Three For the Money" and, especially, "Of Ghosts and Angels". Tiffany, I didn't know you were a sensitive!

She was the gentlest Angel, the most feminine/vulnerable Angel, who, kind of quirkily, was shown to the greatest advantage of her assets during the 1st season, the prettiest Angel. And I think those amazing dark brown loose locks of hers are just beyond lovely, so lovely. Jaclyn/Kelly actually beats out Farrah/Jill, just a bit, in the stunning, long locks department. Her 1st season look and style suited her best.

As previously mentioned, the TV station which aired the repeats of the show here decided to randomly put on episodes from different seasons late at night for some strange reason when I was in the process of watching. I managed to catch a couple of episodes from Season 5 and I wondered what was going on with Kelly’s hair. As you said, "Her 1st season look and style suited her best". If you’re interested, I started a thread for discussing the show in the ‘Classic TV’ section (back when I first started watching the repeats on TV): imdb2.freeforums.net/thread/15114/charlie-angels-1976-1981

I was never an avid Angels fan, but only because we never had a t.v. for many years when this show was popular, so only saw what I could at neighbors houses. I did always like Kate Jackson the best as Sabrina, but most of their personalities are not a part of my psyche, since I never fully assimilated the shows and all the idiosyncrasies and nuances in the Angels. Smith was always lovely and feminine though and just pure class. She knew how to wear her looks and fashion with impeccable ease and even exquisiteness and was the epitome of a beautiful lady from the 70's. It makes my heart yearn for this wonderful and watershed era at times. Towards the last season, I always liked Tanya Roberts. She was just so lovely to look at and she always came across as very natural and real, with no pretense, in spite of her gorgeous looks. She also appeared to be kind of awkward\klutzy too. I just love that about her. Kind of like Margot Kidder. Oh, I just loved everything you said, Toasted Cheese! Kate Jackson as Sabrina, as you know, I just enjoy so much. Definitely my favorite Angel. But, I can't say that there is an Angel that I don't love. Jaclyn Smith really was lovely and soooo feminine and it obviously the way she was in her real life. I'd say that I like Kris a lot, but somehow don't love her, but the other five I love very much. Your observations about Tanya Roberts are spot-on! She was just so darn pretty and very sexy, yet, like you said, she was somehow innocent of her definite appeal. I saw her on the Johnny Carson show and she was so nervous, but cute. Also, she was married to the same man since 1974. I think that says something about her as a person. I noticed her klutziness, too! Absolutely! And it was very endearing. The episode "Hula Angels", she just can't pull off the Hula with much grace. lol! Margot Kidder was great in the 70s and 80s. She also had a natural charm about her, kind of just did her own thing and didn't seem to much care what other people thought about her. I can see the connection.

Roberts just had this scared, vulnerable look about her, that instantly draws you to her. She grew up in the Bronx from meager means. ![](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000617/mediaviewer/rm59923456) ![](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000617/mediaviewer/rm59923456) ![](https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gl75ZLbQbr4/UBl_Wp9gSLI/AAAAAAAAE20/m_Eh3mNgs6I/s1600/A-View-to-a-Kill-Stacey-Sutton-Tanya-Roberts.png) She looks so much better in that^ picture to how she did in the few random episodes from Season 5 of Charlie's Angels that were shown here on TV late at night. In the episodes, they seemed to really overdo her makeup - which made her stand out quite a bit from the other two (in a way that was rather distracting). I'm not sure I would have even been able to tell that^ picture was of the same person if you hadn't mentioned it was, to be honest. Unfortunately, I only saw her in a few random episodes and didn't really have the chance to get a 'feel' for the character - though I met get to if/when they reach Season 5 again with the repeats here.

That is an image from 007 A VIEW TO A KILL-85'. I just thought it perfectly captured what dirtypillows and myself were discussing about Roberts. It is indeed a very nice picture. I did soon realise it wasn't from the show Charlie's Angels after I right-clicked and searched Google for the image, which was where I discovered it was from A View to a Kill (which is a movie that I have seen, though I only vaguely remember bits and pieces of it). Anyway, I was just mentioning how she looked so different in that picture to how she did in the few episodes of Charlie's Angels I saw her in. I didn't mean to intrude on your discussion of her.
