This is getting a bit out of hand. Even is the guy makes no valid points and his review isn't professional, don't be mad at him, he's still allowed to have his own opinion. If you want to be angry at someone, be angry at Independent.ie for hiring such a guy or be angry at Rotten Tomatoes for including his review. Besides this review, I fear we're reaching a point where people write good reviews to prevent these kind of things to happen to them. If you didn't like a movie you should be able to say that and, while people may disagree with you, things should never get violent. Otherwise we're bordering on limitations of the freedom of speech concerning movie reviews and that would be a very sad thing. And btw who cares about the rotten tomatoes rating? I'm getting a bit annoyed at the supposed power rotten tomatoes has gotten over movies since last year. Is 100% really that important? Even if a movie has 10% you can still like it. Rotten tomatoes doesn't govern your opinion on a movie in any way, you can dislike a movie with 100% and like a movie with 0%. Anyways, let's just stay civilized. It's one review of a movie and people are already going crazy. P.S.: I'm personally extremely excited for Black Panther and I can't wait to see it. I just think these kind of reactions are excessive. I fully agree.

There appears to be more negative reviews now.

Not yet from Armond, though, sadly… He did recently post his review of Eastwood’s latest, though, which was intriguing. White is one of those few critics (with Pauline Kael, Andrew Sarris, and Bill Everson) whose work I read just for the quality of their prose.

They did the same thing six years ago over The Dark Knight Rises and I don't recall if that even earned a perfect score initially. It's not right either way of course. But let's not make this a panic about SJWs when it's clearly the latest in a line of behavior that I'll expect for future releases from angry people that make fandoms look bad.

Black people in particular seem to take it very personally that someone DARES TO CRITICISE the movie. Like it is some sacred holy text. LMFAO

www.google.com/amp/s/mashable.com/2018/02/08/black-panther-negative-review-rotten-tomatoes.ampThis above, vituperating the poor guy who dared to have another opinion about this Black Panther movie, is atrocious. Jess Joho, who wrote it, ought to be ashamed of herself, stating the man is a bigot simply for disliking a superhero flick and that his opinion shouldn’t even be considered because he’s (dear God, is this what we’re reduced to?) “on the wrong side of history” (her words, honestly), just as a good Marxist would put it. This is the way the world ends, using a critic’s soapbox to silence opinions just because you don’t agree. I have no idea if Black Panther is a good movie or not, but these defenders should truly be ashamed. Can I move to the dark side of the moon or something? Or at least to a Hebridean island away from humanity?

It's Disney's doing--they have been dedicated to agitprop since Iger and Eisner took over. It started with black voices in animations, and they just built it up and up. You watch, this is not going to get less. It's not a fad. They will keep going and going. They dont even care about white audiences anymore--a company invented by a white guy, for white audiences, has turned into something else.

Apparently a guy's Google account was suspended indefinitely because he didn't like The Black Panther and posted that to Youtube.

People who voted for Trump get beat up. People who give a negative review to a certain type of movie get threatened.
These kind of people don't know the harm they are doing to their own cause.

Can I move to the dark side of the moon or something? Or at least to a Hebridean island away from humanity? Careful what you wish for... It didn't turn out to well for the American Hippie in Israel.... Oof, I’m about as far—politically, philosophically, ethically—from a hippie as possible, so does that exempt me from…? No…? But what about Willy Wonka’s last line? “Don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted: he lived happily ever after”? Still no? Curses, I’ve really got to re-consider this one… Seriously, though, I could never follow a relentless individualism, believing instead, with Aristotle, that man is a social and political animal. Still, when you get to the point that some film critics advocate not even heeding other film critics because of contrary opinions, you do have to wonder what kind of state that society has gotten into… Ahem! No, Salzmank, no more politics!

I was just kidding around with you Salzmank... I agree though, we are living in very strange times. Free speech is under assault from many and varied sources.
