Normally I do not buy into these conspiracy theories, but a lot of people have been writing that Facebook is removing anything negative said about Black Panther. I wrote a negative critique of the movie yesterday just to see. Nothing racist was said. I just made an observation about the trailer that I did not like and it was removed that day. I noticed it a few other times too. This is insane. Why? Well, I know why, but still.

No wonder. They got a lot of flack in the past for just not doing that. Maybe they are overzealous at moderating at potential hot spots for racial trouble.

I do not care that much, I just do not understand it. We are not allowed to not like this movie or we are racist or something. I feel it is this exact sentiment that helps breed more racial divide.

It's a slippery slope for sure. I also tested posting a negative comment about the film on Facebook and sure enough, it was promptly removed. It was later reinstated after a friend complained on my behalf. In their defense, my comment was outrageously negative (though not racist) when taken out of context. I was being sarcastic. You've got to assume that Facebook is being inundated with these types of posts and it's hard for them to tell who is joking, being serious or acting maliciously.

What did you say out of interest I'm not going to quote myself directly here to avoid stirring up trouble with the more racially sensitive posters. What I will say is that I made some jokingly negative remarks about Wakandans. I implied that they were selfish for hoarding a potential cure for cancer and hypocritical for having combat-based ascension to their throne and yet calling everyone around them, black and white alike, savages. I also remarked that the only way Africans could have the kind of technology seen in Black Panther is through CGI. All this was said in my usual colorful prose. That said, I was being sarcastic in response to another poster who had made borderline-racist comments about the film. Both of our comments were reported and removed. A friend of mine said I should complain and I declined. She protested on my behalf, and BOTH comments were somehow restored. I was trying to illustrate through sarcasm the stupidity of another poster's comments by being just as stupid, if not more so, and appearing to side with him. He couldn't read the sarcasm and he ended up agreeing with me - thus proving his blind hatred and stupidity. All this took place over the course of a day on Facebook.

Well at least I can see people getting offended by this, whether I agree with it or not. I merely made a comment about actual content of the movie that had nothing to do with race, which was even more baffling to me.

Marvel is the League of Shadows. They have infiltrated every level of our infrastructure. They will not stop until superhero movies are all rated PG and are made exclusively for SJWs.

Yeah, I suspect those types of comments are getting removed because the film isn't in wide release yet. The same thing happened with Thor Ragnarok just shortly after its world premier.
