Or at least a good chunk of it is. Whatever they get they are gonna say they wanted something else (TFA was too familiar...but TLJ was too DIFFERENT), they will hold SW movies to task for things which they cut others slack (where were the complaints about waiting so long for a full Deadpool trailer?), they act like making less than $2 billion is a failure (TLJ was the highest-grossing movie of 2017, and yet people keep telling me it flopped), they build up theories and then get butt-hurt when their theories don't pan out (pro tip: stop thinking some new character is going to be revealed to be a character from one of the animated shows...seriously, just stop), they seem schizophrenic about what they want from the franchise ("Stop giving us movies about characters we know; we want new characters! By the way, I can't wait for that Kenobi movie!"), they say that don't want fan service (then complain about not getting ENOUGH fan service), they're perpetually complaining that the movies "didn't do what I wanted it to do", and perpetually whining about their childhoods being ruined. Some of the same people who spent the last 15 years complaining that George Lucas ruined their childhoods with the prequels now say they want him back to "fix" Star Wars. Smfh.

Yes, you definitely are onto something. I have observed the same thing in politics: Whatever the voters get they are gonna say they wanted something else: first they want liberal politicians, and when those types are in power they want conservatives, and then they want some left wingers, and all at the same time! First they are pro choice then pro life, pro environment then pro economy? Seriously? MAKE UP YOUR DAMN MIND, you pussy footing flip floppers!!!! It's as if the voters and fandoms would consist out of millions of streams of different opinions instead of one single voice reflecting my opinion. Smfh INDEED!

Most of our society has become just a bunch of complainers...
This "Have It Your Way" concept only works ONE ON ONE. With over 7.5 Billion people, all with different likes and dislikes, it's just impossible to please everyone. 7.4 Billion people ARE going to be disappointed, in some way shape and form.
It's more important than ever to compromise. EVERYONE should get a little bit of what they want.
Some discussions on these boards have featured the frequent question of... "Wasn't there something about _ _ _ _ _ that you liked"?
People need to just grab some popcorn, and just focus on those things... and let the rest of it go!
If you can't... Go make your own damn movie, because that is the ONLY way it will ever truly please you.

Gee! You sound very butt hurt over some expressed criticisms that you consider as being butt hurt.

Oh my, people have different opinions and are critical. Truly insufferebale. Some sheeple have left the herd. We need a strong belwether leading the way.
Or: Which is more insufferable? The whiners or the whiners whining about the whiners?

Forever the binary argument. We didn't like the retread, so they give us something completely different (that again copied and pandered but it did SUBVERT!) and we're still not pleased.
They gave us both ends of the spectrum, why aren't we happy!?

This isn't new, infact pretty much all fandoms are guilty of this.

Quite frankly the whole SW fans are complaining TLJ was too different is a massive generalisation, and the main "too different" complaint is that Luke was too different - which is something Mark Hamill agreed with.
