Why would it be? People dissed Steel and Catwoman in waves. It's just a movie.

My next door neighbor is a big DCU fan. He spends a lot of time walking round dressed in sheets. He says he hates Black Panther and he hasn't even seen it yet. I think he might be racist.

The question is, is it racist for a whitey to see the movie? It seems like a thing meant only for bros, homies, sistas, etc.

False dilemma.
It depends on the motives.
If it's "Yuk, I don't like that many blacks in my comic book movies", or "I love this film because it has so many black people in it" it's clearly racist.
However, if the criticism goes e.g., "It's just another formulaic, blood & stake-less Marvel product overhyped for juvenile audience members" that seems pretty non-racist to me.

This is not true at all. The only people who can be racist are white people. That is what the media has taught me. Therefore, all of the positive reviews not mentioning the content of the movie at all and only praising it because it has a black cast are not racist in the slightest.

Your idea of "stakes" is that they shouldn't bother being nice and telling us about future stories ahead of time, they shouldn't have a shared universe at all and they should kill off important people every single film.
Lazy stuff.

Yes. I mean, not really, but this is this year's Get Out or Wonder Woman; so criticism is banned.
