Please, please, Mr Producer resist all temptation to give us a season 2. I can't take any more
This was a dreadful show with stilted direction, slowly deliverd boring dialogue and a cast of cardboard cutouts, especially James Norton who looked more like a catwalk poser than a wanabe Godfather
Ugh !

Me give up at end of Ep2. Wanted more of trafficking story line but it seemed to be neither here nor there. Could take no more.

I don't mean to be rude, Mr Anygood, but if you persist on watching shows you actively dislike then you're watching too much television.

Absolutely diabolical show. Honestly, I've seen better acting on Hollyoakes. I gave up on it by about episode 4 I think. The script was a mess, disjointed, stale plus completely and utterly humourless, who the hell at the BBC read it and said “yeah, let's piss the licence payers money up the wall on this shit”?. Very unlike the BBC actually, I mean yeah they do make some shit, but they don't normally throw money at the shit.
The only interesting thing, is I used to work on the square that the lead character was sometimes seen when he was outside his office (on St James's Square, London), in financial services too (a subsidiary of an investment bank), so I was actually wondering whether it might have been someone I used to work with who wrote it, just because there were a lot of minor coincidences, so I looked up the names of the writers, and alas, no, never heard of any of them, was definitely shit enough to have been written by some non-entity I used to work with but actually I doubt any of the writers have a worked a day in banking in their lives.
Spent many a late night there actually, studying for my CFA exams in the evenings, then walking over to the West End/Soho/Mayfair etc after to get wrecked (most nights), then coming back into work the next morning, often late, sometimes wearing the same clothes, occasionally with zero sleep, and quite often still drunk. I'd sometimes even have a shower after I got in, then go into the bathroom cubicle and just sleep there for about 4 or 5 hours. I honestly don't know how I did it now, plus pass my exams, and not get fired! Or even as much as a warning or any kind of hint that might say “Stan, rein it in because you're taking the absolute fucking piss now”.

I can't take any more Is it at all likely that anyone would force you to watch a season 2 if it is ever made? *** EDIT *** Actually, forget I said anything. It's not like I haven't been guilty in the past of continuing to watch a TV show just because I need to see it through the end, even though I am not enjoying it so much anymore.

It looks... different but I cant bring myself to watch any dramas on BBC anymore, far too dull. Gave up on Dr Who with Capaldi like a year ago.

How do you propose I proceed given you're volte-face?!? Huh?

I persisted in watching it because I wondered/hoped that it was a slow burner and might come alive at any time. That never happened. David Strathairn was worth a watch, as ever. After it was all over I couldn't quite believe, after all the hype, that I had a pig in a poke.
