In the past few years we've seen the Royals win their first World Series in 30 years, the Eagles win their first Super Bowl ever, the Astros win their first World Series ever, and of course the Cubs win their first World Series in over a century. Who's up next?

I would say the Dodgers, because they do compete, but I am going to say the Rockets. Yes, the Warriors are pretty much unbeatable, but the Rockets are easily the second best team in the NBA right now. In fact, I would argue the third best team is FAR behind them. Therefore, if somehow the Rockets can find something in them and beat the Warriors this year in a series (I doubt it), then they will win the Finals.

Good choice not to have the Capitals on there - - no matter how well they do in the regular season, they have no intestinal fortitude to win it all.

The Predators have a real shot at doing it in just a few months.

Of the teams on the list, the Rockets have the best chance. They're the 2nd-best team in the NBA this season so if they can find some way to get by the Warriors, then they should end their drought.
But I'm going to vote for Other. There's another team whose last championship was the same year as the Rockets' last championship and that has a good chance to end their championship drought next season - the Dallas Cowboys.

Rockets are currently top seed in the West. They will be underdogs to beat the Warriors but are clearly a real chance.

Is it fair to say that the Rockets are experiencing a drought? It's only been about twenty years.
Detroit Lions are up next when it comes to a good rainstorm where there was once legitimate drought.

Is it a championship drought if a team has never won at all? I'm fairly sure it has to have rained at some stage for a drought to happen. If it never rains that's called a desert not a drought.

Been 32 years for the Metsies. Don't see it happening this year but stranger things have happened.
