Loose Cannons was directed by Bob Clark and written by Richard Matheson and his son? I havent seen it though. I remember Siskel and Ebert reviewing it. Just reading the plot synopsis on Wikipedia is enough. "The film is about a hard-nosed cop who is teamed up with a detective with multiple-personality disorder to uncover a long-lost Nazi sex tape, featuring Adolf Hitler, which would jeopardize the political future of the German chancellor-elect." I actually liked that movie. It's definitely weird but hell it's a comedy, it doesn't need to make a ton of sense. Haven't seen it in ages though, I remember the end being more serious (or at least trying to be) than was necessary for the film.
