I thought the lightsaber dual went on for too long. Lol, far too long. Too much flipping on lava for me. And it seemed like that one guy in the film didn't seem to have any good reasons for turning from good to the dark side. And the ending that tied the film to episode 4 at the end seemed tacked on, is that the right word for it? Anyway, flawed films no doubt. Imo. Anyway, being that it's the last actual 'star wars' film that they ever made or will make, i'm glad I finally saw it. Even with it's flaws, it's still technically star wars.

I see what you did there...why not just say you don't like the new films?

All this TLJ hate is breaking my heart. It's so...not beautiful. Maybe it's because I'm so in love with TLJ. So has love blinded me? That's not exactly what I meant. But it's probably true.
Joe Torrence, hold me like you did by the lake in 1983. So long ago when there was only Star Wars love. No special editions, no prequels, no Disney.

For me the new films have re-kindled an interest for the series after the prequel shitfest. That some fanboys don't like them almost gives me a little feeling of schadenfreude

I give the answer but I feel like nobody will like my reasons for my opinions on the new films.Well, I mean, it's like: the Star Wars was not intended to extend to episode 7. Ok? The whole thing was concluded with RotJ. But I understand they will keep making them for at least a few more years to please the fans. I feel like these films are made to only please the fans, where as Lucas made the prequels without caring what people would actually think of them. Because he made them because he wanted to make them. He had artistic integrity, even though the results of the prequels could be considered bad to most people. That is why I give the prequels a pass even though I personally don't like them, and the new films I do not give. One.
Sorry. Now that I explained it, do you feel better? CoolJGS☺?
