Came across a pretty cool website called radiooooo.com. It plays music from any country from any decade, 1900 onwards, if they have a recording from that time. Full tracks, and the music is pretty good. Been listening to music from Greenland! Want to expand your musical knowledge from around the world? Then this is the website for you.

I though this would be about the System of a Down song, "Radio/Video".

So far...Mexico (Pedro Vargas) Australia (DiVinyls) Ireland (The Lough Gill Quartet - great little 1940s instrumental number called 'The Millpond') Myanmar (Ma Kyi Aung - some 1930s Robert Johnson groove going on here!) and Chad (Maitre Gazonga)

I was presented this little number under 1980s Pakistan. A really captivating voice. The track itself is enchanting and I certainly enjoyed it. Imagine my sadness when I discovered that the singer died at just 35 years old in 2000, in north London, of cancer, following a very full and active short life. It's little discoveries like this that make me wonder just how much enjoyable music I am missing out on in this world, and I'm wistful about not having enough time and wherewithal to hear all of it. But let's enjoy what we can and be grateful.
NAZIA HASSAN (1965-2000 RIP) 'Lekin Mera Dil' 'लेकिन मेरा दिल' ('But My Heart...)
