I love this dish, but I never knew it was a relatively recent "invention" - and probably originated not in India or Pakistan, as one might imagine, but rather in Great Britain:

What I usually order at an Indian restaurant. Seems to be a "love it or hate it" curry. Some people refer to it as the worst thing on the menu. I have also heard it called "phony" because it was invented at an Indian restaurant in Scotland. I don't know why the hell it matters. Curry is Indian and even if it were not, it is still curry.

Well, whatever the origin, it's good stuff. Could go for a plate right now, as a matter of fact. I've had limited experience with this dish. It tastes similar to Tandoori chicken. Delicious!
