Someone told me about this and what a treat it was. I used Libby's sliced pineapple. Add brown sugar and cinnamon on both sides and let sit about 30 minutes. Then grill over on low heat for about 5 minutes per side. Just until lightly browned with grill marks. Like this.

A nice dessert dish. Or would you not consider that a dessert dish?

The ONLY thing that could improve it would be a splash of OP brown rum and fresh whipped cream!

A nice dessert dish. Or would you not consider that a dessert dish? With how sweet it is I would consider it a dessert. Here is another one with pineapple that I consider a meal more than a dessert. Very easy to make. 1 lbs kielbasa (I use all beef) 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks undrained (I use Libby's pineapple chunks) All you do is cut the kielbasa into bit size slices and put in Slow Cooker. Add the brown sugar, pineapple chunks and liquid. Stir. Cook on low 4 or 5 hours stirring once or twice. If you are in a hurry you can do it in a regular oven and just cook at about 350 or 400 degrees for an hour. If you are feeding a lot of people just double the recipe. Sometimes for a more filling meal I put it over cooked rice.

Great dessert served with whipped cream, or Cool Whip.

You can also cook it with brown sugar and a little butter in a skillet, use as a side dish with ham or as a dessert.
