I'm sure they'll manage without him. Rogue One had a better score, for me, than the two other Disney SW films, and all the prequels

I just hope his final Star Wars score is as amazing as the OT or PT scores. The scores for episode 7 and 8 were great, but the ep 1 - 6 scores are iconic. I need another 'Binary Sunset' or 'Duel of the Fates'. I hope Disney doesn't play it safe with the score for episode 9 and allow Williams to show his brilliance once more, because I'm sure he's still got it in him to make another iconic score.

He never should have returned for 7. Or at least quit the job after seeing some of the footage and seeing how bad it was, rather than waste his talent on an uninspired piece of crap. His lack of interest in the material was very obvious. Totally forgettable score by a great composer.

John Williams bases his score decisions on Rotten Tomato audience scores...
