Not particularly. I know he's got a following but Luc Besson has always been hit-or-miss for me.

i am. i think the valerian and laureline comic and cartoon are great. i've been waiting for luc besson to make his promised new scifi film ever since it was reported he bought some huge soundstage to film it on. i didn't know it would be valerian at the time. one may have speculated it would be the sequel to fifth element 'mrdark' that he once mentioned.

I became a fan because I love his style of cinematography, looking forward to seeing it on the big screen.

yeah.
despite thinking lucy was a sack of poop, he handled the fifth element extremely well...even though that was like 20 years ago.

Lucy was great, much better than The Fifth Element--Fifth Element Ian Holm was good, Bruce Willis was good, Tiny Lister and Chris Tucker were awful, first two scenes and the last scene were good but in between was just a big ugly mess

LUCY was interesting for about the first hour, then the film kinda fell apart. Overall I was very disappointed with Besson's effort, hopefully he will redeem himself with VALERIAN!!!

You know, that's true it was interesting for a while, but it fell apart quickly once the stakes felt non existent.

I did not care for "Lucy" myself but I have liked many of Luc Besson's other works.

Anyone looking forward to this film? I am. I always loved the comic book and the cartoon series, so i hope Besson do a good job with it. I'm also the only person (that i know) that like Cara Delevingne as an actress.

The teaser got me hooked. Won't be watching the official trailer to avoid spoilers.

Besson sold the farm to make it so this is a guaranteed watch.

Luc Besson is a seasoned director, you have to be at least a little psyched about what he might bring forth, I will rank him up there with Ridley Scott on the production and design side, look how sweet this movie looks already compared to 'Ghost in the Machine' which looks like green-screen overkill.

What a bland poster - considering the setting is in space and the amazing visuals and imagination showed in the trailer...Hopefully there will be another poster coming soon.
