Right now I'm looking at keeping the top 3 unless there's a better choice. Aaron Judge Mookie Betts Noah Syndergaard Justin Verlander Edwin Encarnacion Dee Gordon Robbie Ray Luis Severino Corey Knebel Rhys Hoskins Not a bad trio of guys to keep. Syndergaard looks like he's furious at getting injured last year. His velocity is up and his command has been nigh perfect. He looks like a man on a mission. The best thing about the Yankees adding Stanton, aside from the obvious, will probably be the decrease in pressure there would have been on Judge this year. You can never tell how a young player will respond to expectations but by plugging in Stanton into the lineup, if Judge falters or slumps, the burden won't be on him to snap out of it so quickly. That should help him tremendously by allowing him to just relax.

Verlander didn't necessarily sell me that he's back for good, though having that batting lineup helps him.

How long can you keep guys and how does it compromise your draft/auction following keeping them? I assumed that part of wanting the 3 you had kept was their age and the possibility of keeping them for several years.

Unfortunately, I can't wait out the year to see how Syndergaard does, so I'm leaning Judge.

If Verlander wasn’t in that list, I’d have no idea what the f—- you were on about.....
