Or FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX (2004).
However, I think the original is the superior film.

What was the name of this movie? (You knew someone was going to ask this question) My guess would be Sole Survivor (1970), starring Vince Edwards, Richard Basehart, William Shatner . The best TV movie ever. Well IMHO anyway.

Are we certain it was a movie?
I thought there was a Twilight Zone episode where a B-25 (King Nine?) crashed into a desert.

Season two, episode one...
KING NINE WILL NOT RETURN.

"It was black-and-white and they didn't know they were dead until the very end of the movie" Hillary's election HQ? But seriously, this topic question made me LOL. That question must have been asked on a monthly basis at INTK.

"It was black-and-white and they didn't know they were dead until the very end of the movie" Hillary's election HQ? But seriously, this topic question made me LOL. That question must have been asked on a monthly basis at INTK. The IMDb message boards began on May 7th 1999. The Sole Survivor question was an instant favorite, and was asked by scores of people for the duration of the boards' existence. However, before the message boards, there was "Stump The Staff," a trivia contest for IMDb employees. Registered users could email questions to the IMDb, one of the staff would post them each day, and the staff member who answered first scored one point. The Sole Survivor question had already become a mainstay, months before the message boards opened. I saved some of the "Stump" pages. Here's one from January 4th 1999, and sure enough, our favorite question was asked.

Ah, good to see the classic threads here. You forgot to mention that Wiliam Shatner was in it.

Oh, I get it. I'm so slow.
Ok, how about another ABC Movie of the Week, about aliens assassins riding a bus in the California desert? They have sunglasses (as in They Live) that allow them to recognize each other.
I answered that one a couple of times, although it may have been in the usenet days.
