Yeah, I'm sure the Cabin Fever remake had the most walkouts because of how scary it was and NOT because it was a steaming hot pile of garbage.
But yeah, a lot of these are more "gross" than scary.

Raw wasnβt really scary. More just kind of unique.
The Conjuring is creepy.
The rest I havenβt seen yet but it sounds like I need to blow this list out so bring em on.

Clearly, it's a list made by non-genre fans. Absolutely meaningless.

Teeth was only scary to us dudes, women probably loved it! Teeth wasn't scary at all, and I don't think it was meant to be. Good movie, though. Meanwhile, I'd check out the link but can't be bothered to turn off my adblocker.

Clearly, it's a list made by non-genre fans. Absolutely meaningless. It's not even that it was made by non genre fans, though. It's made without any consideration beyond statistics. They're extrapolating their analytics and assuming the numbers mean something that they don't. Genre fan or not, using only numbers to determine something like this leaves you with that sort of result.

Netflix just trying to push their horror films. Seen this over the years horror films had gimmicks to sell. Vomit bags and selling insurance in case you drop dead from fright watching or horror film so bad it was banned in 50 countries. I mean first thing some might want to do after seeing this is to watch and see if you can make it through. Probably the truth is that they are so bad you bin it half way through.

Watched the Cabin Fever remake...i have to say it's probably the most pointless remake i've ever seen. Its nearly the exact same film. It does the gore and sfx effectively. Unfortunately it has maybe the most unlikeable and incompetent characters ever. I almost started to like Karen but then she got sick and became a background character....Paul started out ok but by the end i couldn't wait for him to just die already. Marcy looked good naked...Bert was written to be the most annoying character of all time and Jeff was a total douche. There is one scene in particular that i literally yelled at my screen about and that was Pauls failed attempt to kill Marcy and put her out of her misery. Its just horrible and so torturous to watch. I couldn't believe how stupid that character became in the second half of this film.

I loved the Cabin Fever remake. Isn't it the exact same movie only with a female Party Cop? From what I understand it was a fairly "literal" remake, yeah. It had been too long since I saw the original for me to mentally compare them, and I only saw the original once, but I know I loved it, too.

Yeah, pretty sure it uses the same script with minor changes.
The one place where that works to a very minor degree is in using a female cop with the same dialog as the male cop from the first. That's the one part that does anything remotely interesting, as the perception of the same lines are perceived somewhat differently.
Everything else about it is significantly worse. I never much cared for Cabin Fever, but this remake gave me a new appreciation for something that I never really expected. Every actor is worse, each moment misses the ability to find the humor or horror in their moments, the setting does nothing to evoke atmosphere, and the effects have not gotten any better, although in this one sole aspect, the remake is not any worse than the original.
I don't know the story behind it, but I have to imagine that the only reason this was made was because somebody was going to lose the rights if they didn't make a Cabin Fever movie, and couldn't get another sequel script together in time so they just used the exact same script and rushed into production.

This is some clever marketer at Netflix polishing a pile of shit with one or two decent movies sprinkled in. The article claims that they know people didnβt dislike the movies because they watched them for 70 percent of the viewing time. I say itβs probably the opposite β that the third acts are so risible or torture porn-ey that people bail despite how long they stuck with βem.
Perhaps the creative geniuses behind the Cabin Fever remake can turn their talents toward a remake of Freddie Got Fingered for their next project.
Out of that list, The Conjuring was obviously well-made and effective if that particular brand of horror is your thing, and i really liked The Voidβs weirdness, creature designs and Lovecraftian influences. Iβd like to see more of that sort of thing.

And not ONE of those horror movies dates from before 2007. Not by any means knocking contemporary horror, but as a fan of the classics (especially 60s-80s produce) I find that a little sad.
