As I said about it in another thread yesterday about "silly" movies "pure comedic gold and a favorite"! Think it's Tati's best film of those I've seen.

I just replied to "silly movies," and didn't think of it ... excellent choice. I haven't seen it, for a few years, but I'll watch it soon.
I also liked Mon Oncle, but "Holiday" is superior.

I saw "M. Hulot's Holiday" when I was a little bitty kid and loved it. Still do.
The other Tati films not so much as they seem a bit "disjointed" and artificial. Hulot's Holiday seems to flow along naturally and things just "happen" without seeming forced. I especially liked the talkative lady and her tag-along husband !

I didn't much care for it. Maybe it's just not my style of humor, but I found myself largely bored while sitting through it.
