I was 10 years old in 1960. I had trouble with the dialogue. Many of terms they used needed to be translated into today's terminology. In the time it took me to translate, the show had moved on. I had to rewind back to the scene where the used the term, and then they'd do it again a minute later.

8/10
Calfifornia and his wife Megan were rather meh...I wished there was more of his daughther (but not of her weird firedn, whose actor was the son of the show creator...Jewish nepotism at its worst).
And the alcohole...but as far as I know it was really that bad back in the day.

6/10. Well made drama and the realization of the period setting is excellent. Can't say I found it entertaining to watch.

I loved this show up til the episode Tomorrowland, which I think was the last episode of season 4. That was when it 'jumped the shark' for me.
The final scene of the series is one of the best I've seen.
But the later seasons overall not good enough to keep me from giving it higher than an 8/10.

Don proposing to Megan, Betty's hotheaded dismissal of Carla, or Weiner's kid trying to act?
