Anyone else love these guys? I loved 2 and 4 in particular. 4 is the one "in space" but I still love it due to score and atmosphere. Angela Bassett's ass didn't hurt either. The big ball of Critters in the sequel that left a character as a quivering skeleton is still haunting today. The fate of the Easter bunny was pretty disturbing too. It's all held together by Charlie though. He seems as confused as anyone watching, but remains somewhat collected dealing with space/aliens/shape-shifting bounty hunters/getting shot into space...this guy has nerves of steel, but never really knows what's going on. Seems like he could throw in some of his stories as an afterthought without realizing or acknowledging how ridiculous the whole space hairball thing was... Fun series I revisited a lot when I was a kid. Anyone else?

I liked the first three but didn't really like the 4th movie.

I enjoyed them all to some degree, though I wouldn't call any of them really good.
The second one is the one I remember the most from my childhood, like the scene with the Easter Bunny which freaked me out as a kid. The giant Critter ball is pretty funny.

1 and 2 were lots of fun. Got a little tired of em after that.

I watched the third one first, but the earlier two films are easily the best and most enjoyable, with the fourth, even with Angela Bassett being all fine could not save it from being the worst one in the series. Charlie is the man though, a great movie character and as Kingkoopa says in the opening topic, he's the one holding the show together. The one scene I do remember the most is of course this one:
Saw it at a friends birthday party on VHS, and of course one of the kids just had to take on the part as the unofficial party popper by telling his mum about the film, specially the easter bunny part and the one I posted above, and thats it, no more "monster" movies in kids birthdays after that, just lame cartoons.

Best clip in the series! Every kid I knew that had this on VHS had some tracking issues on this part. Hehehe!

Yeah, it was quite the uproar afterwards. Angry mums, confused children, but that scene has always stuck with me, of course in a positive way. Must take the whole series for a re-watch any time soon, now and as easter is nearing by, the second film should fit right in.

I wouldn't say I'm a fan, but I agree on 2 followed by 4 being my picks.

First 2 i saw in theaters as a kid but thought 3 was alright but part 4 sucked.
I had a crush on Lee when i was a kid and when i saw Lee transform into that playboy model, oh wow she is gorgeous!

I enjoyed the first two, but the rest was very average: Critters - 7/10 Critters 2 - 7/10 Critters 4 - 5/10 Critters 3 - 4/10
My favorite scene from the series:

My favorite is part 1, no doubt. The terror is much more palpable when it's just a family trapped in their own home.

You know one of the things I like about the series...I can think of an instance in each installment, is that the krites are at their scariest in claustrophobic situations. Small, but fast, and working as kind of a hive mind...I still think the concept has got legs. Part 1 did this the whole time. Part 2's Easter Bunny scene is brutal in a really bizarre, but effective way. Part 3's climax in the basement was pretty freaky. (I haven't seen this one as much as the other 3, but it reminded me of Part 1 at times). I particularly liked Part 4 because of the claustrophobic nature of its spaceship setting. The thought of Charlie being in the pod with those eggs for all that time before the salvage ship picked it up is really unsettling. Critterball and the skeleton in part 2 was awesome too.

The critter ball was definitely horrific. It showed what the Crites could do when working together.

I was obsessed with these movies when I was a kid. I think I'm still in love with Roxanne Kernohan.

I was obsessed with these movies when I was a kid. I think I'm still in love with Roxanne Kernohan. Me too i had a crush on her when i was a kid and plenty of naughty fantasies of her when i was a teen, it's a shame she died in 1993 at the age of 32 in a car accident which is a damn shame.
