With the possible exception of Manny, he never killed anyone didn't have it coming. Plus, he refused to kill a woman and her two kids.

Good points, Popeye. But his main faults were his temper, extreme greed, and cocaine addiction, which helped lead to his downfall.

If you don't think he's a bad guy, then you're a bad guy.

He drunkenly and, in public, verbally abused his wife and would’ve killed her if it wasn’t for Manny. Yes, he’s a vile shitbag.

With the possible exception of Manny, he never killed anyone didn't have it coming. Plus, he refused to kill a woman and her two kids. Of course. Murdering and killing is always wrong no matter who does it for any reason. And that includes in self defense. Besides Manny, did he also kill his sister? I forgot how she died.

His sister was sprayed with bullets by one of the many assassins sent by Sosa.

He was an anti hero character with whome we can sympathise but he will be considered bad as he can't be considered good. We live in a world where we consider a person bad even if he makes just one big mistake.

Of course. And he owns it. "You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, 'Thass the bad guy.' So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me? I don't have that problem. Me? I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy! Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you. Come on. Make way for the bad guy. There's a bad guy comin' through! Better get outta his way!"

Sure he was a bad guy, but he’s still our protagonist. I guess he’s more of an anti villain. He has morals and he doesn’t seem a terrible guy, especially when compared to some of the other villainous entities in his story.

But isn't he saying he's not really the bad guy, just more honest than most people (who are just as bad but lie about it)?

Tony Montana is a bad guy. sure, he might not be AS BAD as some killers out there who are straight up evil monsters but he's still clearly a bad guy when you bottom line it. you can't really be involved that deep into that lifestyle without being a bad person overall. also, Tony's reasoning with Manny is that... he killed Manny trying to protect his sister to keep her away from that lifestyle which ended up screwing her head up and being she was near him, like even vaguely tied into that lifestyle, just put her life in danger. basically if he cared about her he would keep her far away from himself and that lifestyle because living that kind of lifestyle brings high risk along with it. because once you open that door and bad people know of her existence you just can't be sure she's safe and even being around Tony does not guarantee her safety as he's a negativity magnet basically. WarrenPeaceSeriously!?!?! killing someone in self defense is clearly justified when your life is on the line because of that person. you would have to be out of your mind to disagree with that much. because with your mindset that would basically allow criminals to do whatever they want with no penalty at all. hell, even if you tried to let cops do everything... there WILL be cases where they have to shoot and kill someone to stop them from harming others if they refuse to go to jail etc. I honestly doubt you mean 'killing is bad in ALL cases. period.' because if you do, your out of reality as no one in their right mind would agree with you. period. another thing, with your reasoning there, someone could be shooting at you with a AK-47 and your not allowed to do anything is basically what your saying. because in cases like that, it's obvious it's either kill or be killed. this alone guarantee's taking another human beings life is justified in some cases at the very least. p.s. if I were you I would remove that comment as it's just embarrassing yourself. because while I am a conservative and your a liberal, this has NOTHING to do with ones political views as it's just one of those common sense/no brain-er types of things. because using lethal force is simply going to happen when you got a bunch of evil people out there who kill others, then the good guys are forced to fight back with lethal force at times otherwise the evil people could do whatever they please with no penalties. singhTrue, but when someone keeps on making big mistakes, especially if they don't have any real desire to change etc, they are just straight up bad.
