Nat King Cole would have been 99 today, though it is possible nowdays to reach that age, he left us at only 45 y/o, and that is way too early!
One of the greatest voices ever! Still after he passed away his songs have appeared in over 350 movie soundtracks, television, and video games.
Some has bad quality:
1965
Recorded for Hitchcock's Marnie but never used in the soundtrack
Theme song from The Adventures of Hajji Baba 1954
Theme song from Raintree Country 1957
St Louis Blues 1958 where Nat played W.C Handy one of the few times he played a role, with Eatha Kitt.
Istanbul 1957, an Errol Flynn thriller
Bonus:
and...
Topped Swedish hit parades, competing with Beatles and Rolling Stones, old Nat ruled!!!
and finally:
L-O-V-E, the best solution ever!!

WONDERFUL thanks teleadm ! as "Goldie" in Samuel Fuller's China Gate (1957) he was not going to sing but in a moving tribute to composer Victor Young's last score, Cole briefly beautifully sings China Gate

Nat was also a jazz pianist (The King Cole Trio), but became better known as a gifted singer.
