That I saw recently, The Kid... But then I realized after watching it, that it had this huge plot hole. I'm sure anyone that's seen it would know the plothole. At least I reckon.
It happens early on in the film, but I did not realize it till it was over though. I'm not sayin' that I expect any silent films to have no plot holes, or be realistic or whatever, but in this film it's almost too much for me to handle. Sorry.

The plothole is that instead of reluctantly raising the baby even though he doesn't want to, he would just turn it in, to whatever place that would be called. Orphanage or whatever? O r just take it to the police.
Because at the beginning of the film he doesn't want the baby its obvious.

O r just take it to the police. Because at the beginning of the film he doesn't want the baby its obvious. When Charlie sees the note and realizes that the baby was abandoned, he decides to raise the baby himself. It was awkward and difficult at first, but Charlie and the Kid bond almost instantly; there's no "reticence" at all.
