So this might be old news to others but I didn't know about it. I remember they said Captain Marvel was going to be in the movie but apparently they've cut her out of it now. uk.ign.com/articles/2018/03/21/avengers-infinity-war-writers-reveal-how-captain-marvel-is-like-captain-america"However, soon after that set visit, the Russos revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2017 that Captain Marvel would not be appearing in Infinity War, after all. The assumption is now that Carol Danvers will make an appearance in Avengers 4, which releases May 2019, only three months after her solo movie, Captain Marvel, debuts in March."

Good. There’s enough going on without everyone thinking ‘who the $&@% is that?’

But yeah, as much as I want the Captain Marvel movie today, it would've been too much to introduce her in IW. There's just too much going on to introduce yet another hero. She should be here by now, but I'd rather wait for a proper introduction film instead of cramming her into this already overcrowded epic.

This is a running franchise. There will be other movies to explain her in detail.

I'm excited to see Carol in the MCU but there's no way they'd have the time in IW that T'Challa had in CW.

You do know this is an event movie right? But, on the real, I only expect her to be a cameo or end credits scene. Nothing major to the movie. I think if she was in it she wouldn't be as central as T'Challa was to CW. More on par with Spider-man in CW. Hell, probably even less.

Well I figured like they did with Spider-man and Black Panther, they were going to use Captain Marvel that was a guaranteed success and what would increase her fame ready for when her own movie came out.
Most people would have been familiar with the character by the time her movie came out.

Good. There’s enough going on without everyone thinking ‘who the $&@% is that?’ They usually explain anyone new who shows up anyway.

I think she's going to be a premier character in the MCU going forward, and she deserves a proper introduction as opposed to be thrown into the mix of IW. One of the few bright spots to BvS was WW's small role, but that only worked because everybody already knows who WW is. Ditto with Spidey in CW. Captain Marvel isn't as iconic a character and I don't want to risk her coming off as a sidekick or Space cop #43 or something. She gets her own origin film (which takes place in the 90s), and BOOM. She's now highly anticipated in Avengers 4. They did the opposite with T'Challa in CW, making him a central subplot leading into his own film, and that worked brilliantly. I just think there's too much going on in IW to try that approach with Carol.

Good, Captain Marvel has no place in Infinity War

And I think she's going to become the next Captain America, so worrying about her becoming a sidekick or Space cop #43 is a moot point.

I think a problem with Infinity war is that there are to many characters in that movie. At least if it's only going to be one movie and not a 2 part movie.

We are getting to the point where it doesn't matter how many characters are in the movie. We have them in smaller movies for character development. The Avengers movies are the event movies. At this point in the MCU, the Avengers movies could start looking like this: ![](https://brainstomping.files.wordpress.com/2013/08/avengers-30th-anniversary.jpg) I think by now we've had more than half of them show up in the MCU. ![](https://s26.postimg.org/tek3suwt5/laugh.gif)
