My mother's favorite movie is probably The Silence of the Lambs. She also loves The Bridges of Madison County, Gone With the Wind and more recently Coco, The Shape of Water and La La Land. She also really enjoyed the Lord of the Rings & Harry Potter franchises. She usually isn't the biggest fan of sci-fi, but she did really like Blade Runner 2049 and The Last Jedi. Even though I like many movies she likes, her taste in movies probably differs the most from mine. For example she hates Inception and I'll never understand why.
My father's favorite movie is probably One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. He also loves Raiders & Pulp Fiction. Recently he really enjoyed Interstellar and even though he thinks the story isn't very strong he also said that Avatar is 'unlike any cinema experience he has ever had'. My father likes to watch a movie every once in a while, but he isn't the biggest fan of them so it's rare when he actually enjoys a movie and even rarer when he rewatches one.
My brother's favorite movie is Return of the King (just like me). He also loves Empire Strikes Back and more recently Fury Road & Dunkirk. He's probably the only one in my family who is crazy about movies like I am and our opinions align the most out of all my family members.
Furthermore, I have a nephew who basically loves everything superhero related and another 2 nephews that are extreme fans of Game of Thrones (don't know about their favorite movies). I have an aunt that adores Kill Bill & Game of Thrones. I don't see her that often, but she probably likes movies the most besides my brother and me. What about your family?

My father (he died in 2000), liked every thriller, and was a fan of Columbo the series. Mother: Any movie with Cary Grant, Rock Hudson, Susan Hayward, Joan Fontaine and musicals. Sister: she´s a shrink, so she likes any Woody Allen movie and she laughs with me watching High Anxiety. Brother: not very much into movies.

Mother .... whatever was playing at the local theater and would go to a British Films only theater to see films that didn't play anywhere else.
Father ... not a movie fan and liked to talk through and mock what was being watched on tv. He would watch the occasional documentary feature and stop at the Newsreels Theaters when there was still such a thing.
Sibs: no idea other knowing that a sister hates the Wizard of OZ and animated films.

My mother liked Ride Beyond Vengeance (1966); especially when the insane Bill Bixby character clutched the red-hot branding iron to his stomach and ran screaming into the night.
Sister: Jaws.
