I love this film! If anyone hasn't seen it, it's about a tomboy who meets a college boy from a well to do family and they fall in love. The romance is soon cut short because he goes off to fight in WW1.
Doris Day is great as Marjorie Winfield and so are Rosemary DeCamp and Leon Ames, as her parents. There's a wonderful scene, where Wesley tries to get out of detention by telling an elaborate story about how his dad is an abusive drunk.
i'm fond of this film because i used to watch it with my nana. It's ages since i've seen it thi0ough.

I liked the running gag with Wesley, knocking the silverware out of Stella's hands.Makes me laugh every time!

The guy that later played "Bud" on "Father Knows Best" was the little brother I believe. Wasn't Marjorie well off too as well, if I recall, her dad was the bank president.
