Not really. It's actually genius. My only problem is it makes every single Jedi and Sith look retarded for not having crossguards since you can't seem to cut off the emitters at all. Kylo's is implied to be unstable somehow but nothing ever happens. It's a fucking superior lightsaber and I hate it for making everyone else's look bad in hindsight.

I actually liked the lightsaber. It looks very archaic and temperamental. I thought they would explain that Kylo acquired it from some ancient Sith location during his pursuit of ending the Jedi, but obviously they never did.

Looking back to December 2015, I'm amazed at how little I ended up complaining about the lightsaber. Who would've thought Kylo Ren sometimes being shirtless and throwing temper tantrums would be a bigger issue for me?
