The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles should've been dropped after that godawful Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. <img src="//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/superangry.png" alt=" " class="smile" contenteditable="false" text=" " I think they should remake the third turtle movie and get time traveling turtles right a'la the turtles in time video game.

The Wizard of Oz Lord of the Rings No, I wouldn't want remakes of those movies. However, I would like to see different adaptations of them that followed the source material closely. There's a difference between a remake of a film based on a book and a film that's based off a book that was also adaptation into another movie. So what I'm saying is, would I like to see a remake of MGM's Wizard of Oz? Absolutely not. Would I like to see a different adaptation of the book that the movie was based on? Absolutely. Ditto for LOTR. Ditto for The Hobbit. A film that I don't think should ever be remade? Hmm... Toy Story 2, definately.

Pretty much any case in which the original was rated R, but was remade into a PG-13 version.

The Lion King, but that hasn't stopped them from planning to do it. And as good as that movie is, it is an American unauthorized reboot of the Japanese Manga "Kimba, the white Lion".

No, all the similarities are coincidences. "Simba" is simply Swahili for "Lion" so that comparison is disproven. Simba's father being killed and coming back as a ghost is a reference to Hamlet, so any similariities to Kimba there is a coincidence. I watched Kimba, and it is nothing like The Lion King.

Wizard of Oz (I know there is "The Wiz" and that sucks but I don't see it as a remake exactly) Raiders of the Lost Ark Ghostbusters (The female one is shite) Dirty Dancing (Not a fan but a classic film in any case) Footloose (They did remake it and it was pointless) Casablanca Back to the Future Lost Boys
For me any film that was made in a certain time period where the attitude of the era made that film what it is. Could you imagine them doing Back to the Future now? Martine McFly travels back in time and helps the push the Feminist cause while also educating people of the dangers of Global Warming and Donald Trump. It would just be a political statement as per Ghostbusters 2016.
Both films were fun because they were made to entertain as per the fun light hearted shallow 80's.

Actually... Disney tried to acquire the rights of "Kimba" and since they couldn't they ripped it off. www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/01/27/lion-king-kimba_n_6272316.htmlIt's almost like Stephanie Meyers saying she didn't rip off Battle Royale, which The Hunger Games (the first book) is striking similar to.

The Karate Kid, a film that is great because of that fun loving 80's attitude. The remake was terrible and the Smith's kid was so obnoxious you wanted to see him get a solid beat down.
Although they kind of remade Karate Kid again when they made Never Back Down which was much the same storyline just cranked up a few notches.
