I just watched the trailer. my God I cannot wait. Season one was one of the best seasons of any show ever, in my opinion. This show is absolutely genius.

Can't get enough of it. I just finished watching the first season again and had even more fun the second time around. Cannot wait for Season 2.

Looks great! I'm excited to see Samurai World! The Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada is listed as playing "Musashi," which is probably a robot version of the historical samurai Miyamoto Musashi, a legendary badass. Sanada is a great actor. He's in this scene from The Last Samurai, beating the hell out of Tom Cruise, which makes it even better:

The first season was actually better the second time around. There were so many little easter eggs that would be impossible to notice the first time. That is the mark of a great show.

I tried hard to like Westworld, and I could to some extent but it rubbed me the wrong way on so many levels I gave up before the end. Getting to solve the riddles was a lot of fun in the first five episodes. I was watching as it aired and the IMDb forum was very active. By the 6th episode, the Internet had solved it all and guessed at all the "twists" and explanations that were to follow. Of course, there were alternative theories so no certainty could be had but the dual timelines were established early on thanks to the old and new logo, confirmed by the sticker on the milk can and the re-use of El Lazzo as Lawrence revealed in Episode 5. At this point it was clear to everyone that William and Logan were in the "past" while the Man in Black, Maeve, Theresa and Bernard were in the "present". Dolores alone in the train also gave up she was going through it all again.
Maeve's visit of the R&D department in the 6th episode was the beginning of the end for me. While the episode was one of the most enjoyable, the hint at an all controlling instance letting everything happen was too strong to dismiss and cheapened the whole thing. William's adventures in the 7th episode were a severe let-down and the Bernard twist just cheap. This is when I lost faith in the show which turned into a twist and shock mechanic with phony non-questions about "consciousness" and free-will. While the intricacies of the first half had been clever and the acting worthy of praise, the whole "depth" of the show turned out to be some half-smart relativist mumbo-jumbo about men and toasters.
I might finish watching now and look into Season 2 just for the fun of it but this is NOT an intelligent story.

I love 'Westworld' and cannot wait for season two...but I'm going to wait until all 10 episodes have aired before watching for two reasons. A) The show is so damn addicting that when the first season was airing, waiting an entire week before watching the next episode was incredibly hard. B) Like Leo of Red Keep said, since there was so much time the internet and message boards guessed the twists before they happened and kinda dampened the experience in a few of the episodes. I rather just wait and binge it knowing nothing.

I watched all of the first season in two days, but I will be watching season 2 weekly. This show creeps into your psyche.

Loved it.
Less mysterious as they have given up covering the timelines.
I hate Delores now (That'll probably change over the season, but she was over the top this episode), but still love Mauve.

I very rarely watch TV series now. Last I watched was Twin Peaks: The Return because I'm a massive fan of the original and Lynch in genral. Westworld is one I'm considering trying.

The non-linearity of this show is driving me crazy. It's all over the place. I'm trying hard to like it, but it is very challenging.

I liked the character arc for Dolores in season 1, but what now? Me too, but right now I'm not sure where they could go with her from here.

So far Season 2 has been good. Overall, I really like the show. Not as much as say Game of Thrones, but still a good series.
