Spoiler alert obviously-- below-- dont read if you havent seen season 1
Okay I am a slow starter, plus I had to watch Season 1 twice in one month to get it. Mind you I also work in the industry but the show is way too fast paced for an old geezer like me.
In the beginning Spyros from the SEC was on Chuck's ass, even sending a reporter to humiliate him in front of a large audience (Q and A sesh).
Then before Season 1 ends, Chuck pulls out this Maria lady who apparently Spyros sexually attacked back when "they were in college". I was wondering why didnt Chuck pull this card out before things got out of hand?
I know that Axe is not a hero and that nobody should really be rooting for him, but in a more realistic sense I felt like Chuck was not ready to arrest him because he needed more evidence, and he was also sacrificing his marriage just to appear good (for the SEC).
Any thoughts?

I wish I could answer that, but I can't remember the details of season 1 well enough to be able to.
I watched the season 2 opener the other day, and it reminded me of what I disliked about season 1. The writing of this show is not very good. I don't mean in terms of dialogue and minor details; I'm talking about the bigger picture. They put a potentially very compelling concept for a show together with some extremely talented actors, but they have failed to turn those into a full-fleshed show.
I had forgotten that the only reason I kept watching Billions last season was because Giamatti (especially) and Lewis are so talented. But watching season 2 ep 1 reminded me. It just seems very tired. Don't think I will watch more.
