My list was in the order in which it occurred. I didn't read the book. It's pretty about one character's encounter within the Overlook. The one with an obvious lack of knowledge about the movie. And in regards to another movie, blackmail is not the way into a person's heart. And I didn't read that novel either.

About the shining scene. It was the same for me as for humanfundrecipient. The character only knowing that it was a scary place according to the others but unaware of why and trying to get help from the scary things. Might have been the surprise for myself as well as I wasn't expecting it and hadn't heard that it was going to be in the movie. redrum....

I avoid reading reviews and articles beforehand, so it was a nice surprise. I love when films reference other films and incorporate it within their own narrative -- it's such a movie-lover thing. All the key points of "The Shining" which I was hoping to see were indeed included.

1) The first car race scene. It's a lot of fun and while fast moving, I'm amazed I could see what was going on. 2) When Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) unlocks the vault and meets James Halliday. It's a nice quiet scene. I'm alittle confused; I didn't read the book. Is he actually alive or is that like a ghost or something? 3) Never mind Chucky, hell I'm a dumbass. I forgot about the whole Shining sequence. That was really cool.

1. The Race (I'm going to count both of them 2. Shining 3. I actually like the Stacks scene where Wade leaves the first time. Very good and quick way to explain the set-up
Overall the whole movie is pretty solid and it probably needed about 5 more minutes in the real world to flesh stuff out.

The General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard because it surely made a lot of easily triggered snowflakes cry.

It's Pretty Cool that Steven Spielberg did that "Shining" Scene in the Movie.
I think that He and Stanley Kubrick were Friends.
