please tell me why was the Shining scene so interesting to so many of you… everybody i ask says the same thing. i dont get it. what was so great about that scene? shield miike80 HumanFundRecipient eplay thank you. Perhaps because The Shining segment was an improvement over Kubrick's original mixed results. I just got back from seeing RPO. I went in with pretty much zero expectations and I was very much getting into the film, but then I feel it started to lose it's way towards the end, became bombastic and it just ended up with a cheesy, corny, schmaltzy, preachy, take the easy road cop-out conclusion, regarding the illusion vs reality theme. It really wasn't that intelligent in this aspect. I don't know anything about the source material and what was changed for the movie, but in spite of some very impressive technical effects, set-pieces and even good performances, overall the plot was pretty average. agreed. what would u rate it out of ten?
