Nice looking coupe. What is it called? (my knowledge on the brand is very limited, which is partly why I started this thread. I want to learn more about Mercury)

Nice looking coupe. What is it called? They re-used the name "Mercury Cougar" from 1999 - 2002

Being Australian I've only seen one in person once, which was on 25 March 2018 at a local car show, a 1940s Mercury Eight. I don't know if it was sold here new or imported years later....was surprised by how big it was. The cars are bigger in person than they look in photos. The same car show also had cars by NSU, Buick, Austin, Datsun, Morris, Holden, Studebaker, Fiat, Ford, Jaguar, Vauxhall, Plymouth, Chevrolet and many other brands. I took photos which I recently got developed but haven't got back from the film developer yet. I am curious how they turned out.

My dad had a 72 Buick Skylark, too. I owned a 97 Chevrolet Z24 when I was younger.

Re: 1972 Buick Skylark, I love those big American cars of the 1970s...."yank tank" they are sometimes nicknamed here. Ha! That's funny. I think the Skylark was actually considered mid size back then. There were truly gigantic cars, like the Ford Galaxy.
