Gee, what a douche. Being paid what he was getting, and throwing tantrums when asked to play. No wonder the Texans finally rectified the mistake they made when they hired him. link

I also read how we (I live in Houston, so this means more to me obviously) gave him the contract and didnt even have him work out with the team. No how does he fit with Hopkins and the other WRs, nope, here is 72 million.
I get why Savage was upset, no player wants to leave the game, I understand that. Brock didnt wanna play, dude you need all the reps you can get. Our defense carried us (We ranked one) and Clowney became a beast. NOW Imagine Clowney with JJ Watt....we are gonna be a fn nightmare. If we can get Romo and hope to god he can stay healthy we can do some damage in our weak @$$ division (Titans aint jack, Jags aint jack, Colts have no defense but is really our only obstacle). If we do go for Romo, I hope we keep Savage and maybe give Kaep or even Cutler a try for a backup gig. With Romo you def need a backup that can play!

It's Brock, sir. Edward Brock, Jr. I'm here humbled, and humiliated, to ask you for one thing... I want you to kill Peter Parker.

It's a double-edged sword for Patriots fans. On the one hand, it's terrible to see Bill O'Brien disrespected like this.
On the other hand, it's very satisfying to know that the Texans gave this guy such an indefensible contract solely, and I do mean solely, because he beat an injured and incomplete Patriots team, on one night, in overtime, following a number of ghastly mistakes by the Pats' special teams unit and a number of extremely bizarre calls from the officials. Had the Patriots won that game, there is no way Osweiler would have received a contract like this.

What gets me is this fool left a team that had just won the Superbowl because he was mad that he didn't get to play when Peyton Manning came back from injury. Now he's mad because he was going to get to play??? WTH?

Let's say he stayed in Denver as he would be the sure successor to Peyton, the Broncos most likely would not have traded up to get Paxton Lynch . What kind of year do you think Brock would've had. I think he would still be terrible, would've been benched for Siemian and the Broncos would be in need of a quarterback again.

He was groomed by Denver for years. He knew Kubiak's complicated ZBS offensive scheme backwards and forwards. He would've had better offensive players around him than he had in Houston. He would not have been terrible. When Peyton retired, the team would've been all his. A team that had just won the Super Bowl. HE BLEW IT!

Why would he get mad about that? If you're referring to Kubiak, Kubiak told him from the beginning that Peyton would be the starter again as soon as he was healthy.

Both coaches benched him.
Then O'Brien only put him back in because injuries left him no other choice:

I don't even see why people are bashing him.
If I got demoted at work, then my replacement quit, and they said "you can have your old job back" I would tell them to get fucked.

Even with the Peyton thing, I still don't understand the Brock bashing, after all, I'm sure the plan in Dallas when Romo got hurt was to bring him back in, but they didn't.

Then O'Brien only put him back in because injuries left him no other choice: The time to get mad is when you actually get benched by your coach, not when you're going back in. I'm fine with him being upset at getting benched, but once it's over, you have to be a team player when a player gets hurt and do your job. He signed a 72 million dollar contract over 4 years to play however and whenever they ask him to.

Brock got benched but was still making the same money. His job is to do what is asked of him. If you got demoted at work for the same pay and then took that attitude when the replacement wasn't available you would find yourself out of a job.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
Personally, I want players to "care" if they play, "care" if they don't, and to "care" about the reasoning behind those decisions.
It cracks me up, people always bash Jay Cutler for "not caring", and for behaving the exact opposite way that they are bashing Brock for.
