Just goes to show what animated kids movies have become. Walt Disney would be spinning in his grave.

It looked like it too. "Hahahaha, the baby talks!" is all I got from the trailers.

I have seen all of those except moana and kubo. Those are good. It's boss baby I'm worried about. I think that they might try to dumb it down for the kids.

I miss the 1990s Disney Renaissance.
That was when Dreamworks Animation was spawned and modeled after, during that era with films like
"The Prince of Egypt" "ANTZ" "Chicken Run" "Shrek" "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
and so on, back when they gave a sh!t...

These trailers looked awful. Unfortunately, it is the one movie that my son is actually looking forward to. I'm trying to refine his tastes, but these trailers are tailor made for kids around his age. UGH....another shite fest I will undoubtedly see this year.

Watching a clip, it really seems like they phoned this one in. Even the animation seems sub-par.

Just saw it on DVD. It was excellent.
It's basically an allegory for kids feeling left out and feeling in competition when they receive younger brothers and sisters. It's told from the perspective of a seven-year-old boy with a very robust imagination. It's also done in a way where I could tell it must have been adapted from a book, despite the fact that I had no info about this prior to watching it. There's a literary quality to the storytelling.

I agree, I was pleasantly surprised by it.
