The Saboteurs by Clive Cussler.
The latest in a series about Isaac Bell, an all-American private detective who's basically Sherlock Holmes meets Wyatt Earp and has his adventures take place at the turn-of-the-century. This time, he must thwart a dastardly conspiracy against the Panama Canal just ahead of WW1. It's probably my second favorite Cussler series after Dirk Pitt.
Has the quality dropped since he did a "patterson" and got other people in to do the writing for him? This factory approach to writing is something I very much am against, you either write a book or you don't.

The Isaac Bell series fares much better than the rest since the setting is the most unique.

The Daughters of the Witching Hill by Mary Sharratt. An interesting novel about the Pendle "witches" during the Jacobean era, I consider it a historical novel and it really stresses the true poverty and cruelty of the times.

I just started rereading "To Hell and Back - an Autobiography" by Meatloaf. I read it when it first came out and now that he has died, I wanted to read it again. I loved his music.

I am currently reading Overworld: The Revelation, by Philip Narsingh. It is newly published book, with very easy writing. It is fantasy fiction, or of based upon the Apocalypse in a certain way. Overworld: The Revelation
