I saw a book from this series on this board and when I checked it out it sounded a bit Bizarre(a library in Hell?), which I'm kind of in the mood for. ![](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1551259771i/41961994.jpg)

You Like It Darker by Stephen King ![](https://files.catbox.moe/x2kegj.jpg) It's a story collection. I'd already read six of the twelve stories as they were previously published elsewhere. I thought that meant I'd only have about half the pages to read when I got the book, but it turns out the stories I read were the shorter ones, representing only about 20% of the total pages.

Especially since the novel is from the dog’s point of view.

I read The Communist Manifesto in high school as well as Vol. 1 & 2 of Mein Kampf and a few other political manifestos. I was very "political" when I was younger. I also read many of Ayn Rand's books. Doesn't mean I believed in the stuff, I was very curious. Now I just read mysteries, cozies, sci-fi, and books with talking cats.

Continuing my reading of Indigenous literature ![](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/716rRntzCyL._SL1500_.jpg) Not quite the "horror" I was expecting, although there were horrible things in it. Next up: Son of a trickster or Rez ball.

Get Thee Back to the Future, written by the same guy who did those Shakespeare style Star Wars books I really enjoyed. Unlike those which I think translated very well to Shakespeare because of their medieval epic like overtones and themes of power and betrayal and whatnot, I can't really figure out why you'd Shakespeare-ify Back to the Future except that it's another big name, but the result simply isn't working for me. A lot of the writing feels very clumsy and forced.
