Sleeping Left or Right, not on your bed!
According to some facts, you will feel relaxed when waking up on your right side, but if you wake up on your left side you will feel stressed. Left and Right is your body, not the bed!
Sleeping on the left side, yes in dreams there are cats, friends, girlfriends, school days, angry janitors, and damn it my own father, all dead and gone by now, or girlfriends how they looked once in 1972... and my pet cats talks to me...
Sleeping on the right side, I wake up having having pain dislocated my arm, and I have to crack it back, so I don't know.
Since it was on BBC I guess there is some truth in it, but not foolproof.

65-35 right for me. My alarm clock is on my right. I think my neck feels better while trying to fall asleep on my right.

I've always been comfortable sleeping on the left side of my body. It may have something to do with how my parents positioned the twin bed in my room as a kid. The right side of my face would be directed towards the wall. I could never fall asleep in such a position.
There has always been this rumor about how sleeping on the left side of your body is not good for your heart. I have no idea of this is true. Maybe somebody can shed some light on the matter.

I have never heard of this but I know from experience that a bad case of acid reflux can be alleviated by lying on your left side, because of the way the internal organs are positioned. I thought I would offer that information for anyone who may benefit from it.

I SHOULD sleep on my back, because that's generally the most restful sleep I get, but it's so darned uncomfortable.

I can sleep on my back; can't fall asleep on my back, not least under my duvet, lower leg muscles aren't relaxed enough to not feel like they're propping up the weight as ridiculous as that sounds.
