In my situation, days are like women - each one's so damn precious, but they all end up leaving you.

Our individual lives? Yes.
Earth created humans to defend it. So our lives are supposed to mean something to the planet.
But Earth's instincts didn't take into account humans' animalistic instincts.

Yes. And that's why it's beautiful.

It's not always easy to distinguish between existentialism and a bad mood. Blade of Tyshalle

Only for atheist could one potentially see it that way. because with that mindset (i.e. you physically die here on earth and you cease to exist) then it's easy to see how life's pointless (along with suffering etc). about the best they could hope for with that kind of mindset is to leave a mark on the world or maybe leave something decent behind for their family etc. but for those of us who believe in God (i.e. The Holy Trinity (Father/Son(Jesus Christ)/Holy Spirit)) knows that life has a point and that is... you could basically see this life as a trail and that our actions/choices here on earth ultimately determine where we end up after physical death which is Heaven(good) or hell(bad). people don't truly die, as it's only the body that dies here on earth as the soul/ones consciousness lives on after death. our basic point here on earth is to ultimately reach Heaven as if you do this you win and have eternal happiness but that does require some restraint/sacrifice etc on our part simply because once humanity fell, which happened after the whole Adam/Eve thing, humanity no longer see's what's good clearly anymore and can sometimes choose bad things even though they 'seem' good to us etc. but God tells us otherwise through the commandments and what the Catholic church teaches on morals etc of which many won't like some of it's teachings because they are contrary to our fallen human nature. plus, I imagine with a general atheist mindset it's more likely that person could commit more heinous crimes because, for them, if they can get away with it then they don't have nothing to worry about. but for someone who believes in God knows you can't get away with it and will pay for whatever wrong you do. it's probably some reflection of modern society that's getting more God-less as time passes with the school shootings etc. remove God from society and it pays the price long term. but it appears many have to learn the hard way. just some thoughts

Oof, horrific judgmental thoughts. When's the last time atheists waged a holy crusade?
