Blumhouse has been on a roll since 2012 I'd say (Sinister) but definitely in recent years with Oculus, The Purge: Anarchy, Unfriended, The Gift, The Visit, Hush, Split, Get Out, and Happy Death Day.
But I'm expecting something of poorer quality with Truth or Dare. Acting looks meh to poor and the entity looks like it'll be more comical as it goes on. Will probably catch on Sat however.
Also, could have seen this doing good numbers, but A Quiet Place will have better critical acclaim and probably have some great BO legs, and the box office has some comp right now (Quiet Place, Rampage, Ready Player One, still Black Panther, and Blockers). Think this makes a solid opening weekend but will probably drop fast afterwards if critical reception isn't good.

Yeah I wonder what happened, like a change in management or something?

Jason Blum only finances the films.
It's up to the individual creators whether they are any good.

OK to this point this is easily the worst film I've seen this year.

I saw it on Friday the 13th because there weren't any good Horror Marathons on TV. Not impressive, at all.

Well shit. not in my eyes. it was kinda silly and suffered from soma questionable acting moments BUT overall I felt like it made sense and didnt have any huge loopholes and kept the atmosphere pretty tense throughout. it wasn't the scariest movie but it did make me feel quite uneasy and it had a few (so stupid its funny) laughable moments so overall I would say it was pretty entertaining. it would make a great movie to watch with a group of friends in a big scary house on a sleep over. just after a round of truth or dare. 55% from me at this point.

Found this a mess from the get-go once Wadlow chooses to introduce the characters via intro credits montage in an attempt to build relationships and audience care for them. Plot becomes a little hazy, awfully bad CGI, pathetic exposition in the middle and final acts (would have rather had this spaced out instead of just dumped for minutes upon minutes) and a horrific ending.

This movie wasn't that bad. At least it wasn't pretentious.

What was so wrong with it?
